We are in the midst of autumn and this means you can enjoy cooler weather outdoors.
This is the perfect opportunity to gather the kids or grandkids to participate in various activities that autumn has to offer.
Autumn is the perfect apple-picking season. You can go to a farm that offers apple picking. Have a great time running from tree to tree looking for the crispest apple you can find, compete to see who can gather the most or go on a hunt for the biggest one. You can use these apples for various treats such as pies or you can just bite right into them.
Take a trip to the nearest pumpkin patch and try to pick one (or a few) out. Challenge yourself to find the hideous one, the perfect one or the largest. You can use the pumpkins to whip up delicious meals and desserts or you can carve them for your festive front porch decor.
Your trees are going to become lovely shades of brown, yellow, orange and red. Unfortunately, those beautiful leaves are going to fall into your yard. This is where you get to rake up the leaves into a huge pile. You can jump into the pile, you can have a leaf fight or you can just toss them out.
The changing of the seasons don’t have to be a sad disappointment, each season brings its own contribution of outdoor activities for you to experience.
