and Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles, completing the dual degree program in just 6.5 years. He then completed a Basic Surgery Training Program and a neurosurgery residency at UCLA, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Cannestra further enhanced his expertise through a fellowship in spine neurosurgery and spinal cord injury at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami.

In addition to his impressive educational background, Dr. Cannestra has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career. He was named Summa Cum Laude upon graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He was also a recipient of a European Traveling Fellowship in Spine/Neurosurgery, sponsored by Medtronic Sofamor Danek. In 2020, he was named a recipient of the America’s Top Surgeons award.

Dr. Cannestra is a Diplomat of the American Board of Neurologic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine in California, Florida, and Hawaii. He is currently practicing at Lyerly Baptist Neurosurgery in Jacksonville, Florida, and in Honolulu, Hawaii. With his extensive training and experience, Dr. Cannestra is well-equipped to provide exceptional care to his patients.

India and completed an internship and residency in anesthesiology at Maimonides Medical Center and West Virginia University Hospital, respectively. He then completed a fellowship in pain management at West Virginia University Hospital. He is board-certified in anesthesiology, pain management, pain medicine, interventional pain management, and licensed to practice in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. He currently practices at Spineugenix LLC in Florida and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery at Florida State University. Dr. Pereira is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the International Association for the Study of Pain.
